Let's get started!

 Good morning!  I wanted to begin a blog so I can chronicle our new adventures in Alabama and the restoration of our beautiful farmhouse.  I've never blogged before, so I'm learning how all of this works.  My intent is to post photos and comments as we begin the process of renovating, gardening, exploring our historic little town, meeting new friends and neighbors, making friends with the birds and the trees, feasting on the sunsets and stars, creating new and artistic studio spaces for both of us, and making this house our home.  I'll start with photos from the day we arrived.... April 25th, 2021.  We bought our house site unseen, so this picture was the first time we saw our house in person as we drove up after a 7 hour drive from Florida.  We loved it at first sight!!  The rest of the images show us settling in and resting on day one.  We also scrambled to put up a simple, temporary dog fence made from metal posts and fence wire that we brought with us.
