One of the things I love about our home is the beautiful Southern front porch. Yesterday I painted the porch ceiling "Haint blue," which is a Southern tradition said to keep evil spirits away, and to make insects think the ceiling is the sky so they won't build nests there. It is gorgeous! I'm going to give the columns a good scrubbing and sanding and will paint them next. Here are some pics of yesterday's progress! More pics to come on this page, so stay tuned!
